A symbol of your undying love fated by the gods.
This cupid jewelry box features the carved image of Cupid, the Roman god of love and a symbol for lovers worldwide. The Roman's believed an invisible prick by one of Cupid's arrows caused one to fall madly in love with the first person he or she saw. Cupid was later adopted to represent Valentine's day.
Selected details have been hand painted with a water resistant shimmering paint.
Extensive hand worked metal beading brings to mind the great detail of the famous Faberge eggs and uses many of the same techniques.
The bottom sides of the box are made with beveled glass which captures the available light and reflects it into the mirror and then back up through the slanted sides of the top lid made of stained glass.
A mirror bottom illuminates the beauty of all objects placed within it. Hand made and signed by the artist.
